Facebook announced expanding the COVID-19 Announcement tool in India. The social media platform has initiated this step to share important and timely updates to their followers. Moreover, Facebook has partnered with 33 states and Union Territories to roll this out in their respective jurisdictions.
The announcement is a tool for the health departments of the States and Union Territories to share essential COVID-19 related updates with their communities. Facebook stated that this is part of their ongoing efforts to support the public health authorities work. The step has taken to keep people safe and updated with credible information during the coronavirus public health crisis. Interestingly, States will be able to issue these alerts statewide or to specific cities within their state.
India is in the second position after the US to launch this feature for the public. All the Covid-19 information are directed by the state health department. It will reach the people located in the community. It will direct to track the updates and get every possible Covid aid timely. Through notifications, people who are located in the affected areas can get all the updates on the C0vid-19 Information.

- Any changes on existing Covid-19 rules and regulations that can impact communities.
