Disappearing Mode
WhatsApp introduces a disappearing mode that will turn on disappearing messages in all your chats. So if you want disappearing messages in all your chats, you can use this mode.
View Once
The new voice message review will make it easier to trigger the feature. When this feature is turned on, it will make content disappear after the person sees it. For instance, the recipient is now able to open your photos and videos once before they disappear from the chat. Although, these two features are quite similar to Snapchat.
Multi-Device Support
The feature has been in test for quite some time and now it is confirmed to roll out. The multi-device support allows viewers to use their WhatsApp account on multiple devices even without an active internet connection on your main device. Zuckerberg stated, “it’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we’ve solved this and we’re looking forward to getting it out soon!”
A week ago, WhatsApp introduced a feature called Fast Playback where recipients of voice messages can change their playback speeds, making it easier for them to listen to long voice messages. The feature allows users to play a voice message at 1x, 1.5x or 2x speed without changing the pitch of the message.
WhatsApp tried to simplify things and shared the time-saving feature. Whereas, WhatsApp is a particularly useful tool for people short on time, who are multitasking, or who have friends and family in different time zones.
WhatsApp new update 2021 is also testing a new Search for Stickers shortcut for Android users. Interestingly, people would be required to type in a keyword or an emoji in the chat bar, which will enable the new feature to look for the closest matches. If it finds some, the emoji icon next to the chat bar will change colour.
